A hybrid of Clematis ligusticifolia and Clematis serratifolia raised in Canada in 1925. Blooms profusely in summer and early autumn. Creamy petals contrast nicely with crimson stamens. Hard pruning required. It will thrive in any soil provided it's not damp, so good drainage is essential. Particularly useful for all kinds of tall supports and fences. Makes a good screening plant, excellent for covering unsightly buildings.
