White flowers with a blue-silver tinge, 15-17 cm across, with 8 pointed, wavy-edged tepals. Flowers may be semi-double on last year’s growth. Light yellow anthers on cream filaments. Flowers appear in May-June and again in August-September. It grows up to 2,5-3 m tall and attaches itself to supports by means of twining leaf petioles. Useful for growing on fences, arbours, trellises, poles and other garden supports. It can climb over natural supports, such as deciduous and coniferous shrubs that don’t require hard pruning. It looks particularly attractive planted against a dark background. Suitable for container growing.
