A Swedish variety of pinkish-red open flowers 5-8 cm in diameter, with 4-6 slightly wavy, loosely arranged sepals. Blossom is brightened by green-yellow anthers set on creamy-green filaments. Flowering from July till September, most abundantly for the first four weeks. Reaches 3-4 m height. Climbs by means of twining leaf petiolae. Particularly suitable for growing over fences, arbours, pergolas and other garden supports, e.g. stakes or trellises. It looks delightful when trained over small trees or shrubs, both coniferous and deciduous. Thrives in sunny sites.
