An exceptional cultivar with double or semi-double, spherical or semi-spherical white flowers 12-15 cm across, which during cool weather gain greenish colouring, especially at the base. Sepals are elliptic, pointed with wavy, curved edges. Golden anthers on creamy filaments brighten up the flowers which are borne abundantly from June till July covering the plant from 80 cm of its height to the top. Reaches 2 m height. Preferred sites are sunny but not overheated, wind-sheltered and well-drained. Frost hardy (zone 4-9). Named to honour the Polish-French Noble Prize winner. Awards:
