Early Large-flowered GroupClematis 'Kamila' |
Polish cultivar of flowers 10-12 cm in diameter, consisting of 4-6 violet-blue elliptic, pointy and slightly wavy-edged or jagged sepals. The flowers are brightened by golden anthers set on cream-coloured filaments. Leaves are usually single, heart-shaped , dark green, about 12 cm long and 5 cm wide. Flowers are borne from the end of May till June and again, although less generously, in August to September. New shoots are purple-coloured. The plant reaches 2-2.5 m height. It climbs by leaf petioles. It's suitable for growing over trellises, poles and other garden supports. It can climb over natural supports such as deciduous and coniferous shrubs or dwarf shrubs that don't require hard pruning. It looks particularly attractive against dark background. |
